Water Levels on the Mount In Jerusalem
|
|
The
Law required that the Altar platform had to be washed down with "living
water,"
meaning
fresh, flowing, water, not water drawn from a cistern.
In
the Dome of the Rock area there was NO living water, only cisterns.
It
is a fact that the Temple was cleansed with water coming from the aqueduct.
One
thing we know is that water doesn't flow uphill!
The
Dome of the Rock platform was uphill from the aqueduct.
![]() A water channel was dug on the Mount leading toward the south east. NOT toward the Dome of the Rock area. 1. Fresh water entered the Temple Mount from the aqueduct at 737.5 meters above sea level. 2.
The height of the rock in the Dome of the Rock platform is743.7
meters
above sea level. That
is around 20 feet above the aqueduct!

This is the final proof! Fresh water flowed directly to the Priest's Court!
